0-2 Assembly

Ahuriri performed The Lion Sleeps Tonight dance and showed off their amazing masks.  Some children were even brave enough to talk on the microphone.  Well done to everyone!  Now don't be scared - it's just us behind those masks!

MEGA AIR!!!!!!

On Thursday we went to Mega Air. We worked really hard to keep our studio clean and tidy and won a trip to Mega Air!

It was such a great trip! When we arrived we went into the induction room and watched a safety video.

Then we jumped, and bounced and had the best time!

PMP - last chance to help out!

PMP is a fun programme encouraging children to move and balance.  It increases strength and concentration in other areas of the curriculum too.  To make it work effectively we need parents at each of the 5 stations.  The children love to have their parents helping and we're sure you will enjoy it too. We are only doing PMP until the second week of Term 3-so only 5 more weeks to put your name up if you have a spare hour.  Many Thanks.

Pikelets

Today Billy's mum, Sarah, stayed for Discovery. Sarah helped us make really delicious pikelets.
We shared them out across the studio and made sure people in the office had a treat.

Our New School Pets!

This week Susan came to tell us something really exciting... we have some school pets!

Susan came explained to us how to care for them; that we need to be quiet so we don't scare them. She told us some of the things that they like to eat, such as broccoli plants. We had some broccoli plants in the garden outside Ahuriri so we picked them and off we went to visit! 

 Can you guess who our new pets are?!?

We have six beautiful Brown Shaver chickens!

Our chickens are just young and are not laying eggs yet, but hopefully they will be soon!
