0-2 Cross country fun run 2017

We have spent a few weeks preparing for our fun run. We learned about how to warm our bodies up ready for exercise and how to stretch them.
We thought about techniques that help us when we run. We found that pumping our arms helps us run faster and to go up hills!

During the run and training we were focusing on N.E.D. which stands for:

Never give up!
Encourage others!
Do your best!
We were very good at this!

Maori language week - Te Waiata Ruru

This week we learned the Ruru song! Thanks to Matua Steve who introduced it to us - we have been practicing it alot!
Te Waiata Ruru

Ki runga te rakau, i te po,
Ka mai te ruru kua awatea.
Ki runga te rakau, i te po,
Ka mai te ruru kua awatea.

Ruru, ruru.
Ka mai te ruru kua awatea.
Ruru, ruru.
Ka mai te ruru kua awatea.

Up in the tree, in the night,
See the owl waking up.
Up in the tree, in the night,
See the owl waking up.

Ruru, ruru.
See the owl waking up.
Ruru, ruru.
See the owl waking up.
