We have been learning about Matariki recently, we have been doing lots of great writing and activities during ACTIVE time to support this learning.
I wish for a mechanical robot. It would pick up chairs and pick up my clothes to get dressed in the morning. Max R

On Tuesday 28th June the whole school are going to see the Court Theatre Production for Matariki in our stadium. To celebrate the learning over this period we would like to invite you and your whānau to share kai with us at lunch time on the same day. There will be a short informal sharing of learning in an assembly at 12pm and then into a shared lunch. Children are invited to bring a plate to share with others. If your child has any special diet requirements please ensure your teacher is aware and discuss any necessary arrangements.
We have been practising a song to sing to you for our assembly on Tuesday. If you would like to practise this song at home you can click here to go to a youtube clip with the song and the actions. The words to the song are below;
Tirama tirama matariki,
me ana tamariki,
tupuanuku ,
tupuarangi,
waiti , waita,
waipunarangi e,
Ko te potuku o ururangi
me ana tamariki,
tupuanuku ,
tupuarangi,
waiti , waita,
waipunarangi e,
Ko te potuku o ururangi
We are looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday to celebrate our learning and share some kai.
