On Monday, all of our new pupils were welcomed into the Halswell School Community. It was lovely to see so many parents able to attend the welcome.
The children loved the Kapa Haka group and were a shining example of how to sing the waiata Te Aroha. They sounded absolutely beautiful. The invitation to hongi was also accepted by many of the children. As we left, the children were given pieces of apple to share. It was a great time and lovely to see how many new pupils were starting at Halswell School throughout the whole school.
