Halswell Whole School Assembly

The whole school assembly at Halswell is a very important part of our timetable.  It gives the children a chance to see other year groups, see brother and sisters, see children rewarded for great things and involves our wider community too.  Each assembly is run by a different Learning Centre each week to highlight some of their learning.  Assemblies are each fortnight.  Ahuriri and Huritini are running one on Friday 8th December so try to keep a little time free  then between 9.15-10am.  Here are the highlights of today's assembly run by the year 7/8s.

Year 3/4 choir sang us songs from Mary Poppins and the Jungle Book.

The Hip Hop Crew were amazing!
We watched a clip about Growth Mindset and trying different strategies when we do tricky learning.

We were so proud of our weekly certificate winners!

The Year 7/8 Speakers kept us all in control!

Mr McCallum talked about book club and kept changing his costumes.

Assemblies are fun!
